New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Investigation has intensified against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in connection with a sexual abuse case registered in Prayagraj. According to police sources, the medical examination reports of the minor victims have been prepared and submitted to the investigating officer in a sealed envelope. The report is expected to be presented in court soon.

Police sources claim that the medical findings have confirmed sexual abuse of the children. The medical tests of the minors were conducted on Wednesday by a panel of two doctors at a government hospital in Prayagraj.

Officials stated that the investigation is underway to determine who committed the abuse, when it occurred, and where it took place. Only after a complete probe will the accuracy of the allegations against Swami Avimukteshwaranand be established. Station House Officer of Jhunsi police station, Mahesh Mishra, said the matter is currently before the court and declined to provide further details.

Earlier, complainant Ashutosh Maharaj had stated that sufficient evidence exists and that the medical examination confirmed abuse of the minors. Meanwhile, one of the victims appeared before the media for the first time and alleged in an interview that he was abused while attending for studies. He further claimed that other children were also subjected to abuse and named Avimukteshwaranand and his disciple Mukundanand in the allegations.

Responding to the accusations, Swami Avimukteshwaranand described them as a conspiracy by the government. He stated that he would cooperate with the investigation but expressed lack of confidence in the Uttar Pradesh Police, urging that the inquiry be conducted by a police force from another state.
