Azam Khan gets Y-category security after bail; police take major decision

Rampur (The Uttam Hindu): Senior Samajwadi Party leader and former Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Azam Khan has been granted Y-category security. The police administration has taken this important step to ensure the safety of Azam Khan, who was released on bail after a long period of legal entanglements and imprisonment.
This decision was made in light of the constant flow of visitors to his home. Azam Khan previously held Y-category security, but after his conviction by the court, his assembly membership was revoked and the security was withdrawn. His security was subsequently restored for a short time, but was removed again while he was incarcerated in Sitapur jail.
Now, after spending 23 months in jail, Azam Khan has been released on bail. The police administration has decided to reinstate his security. According to the police administration, Azam Khan has been provided with Y-class security, with guards and gunmen deployed.
On the day of his release from jail, the police administration had sent personnel to protect him, but Azam Khan refused to accept the security at that time. He sent back the guards and gunner from the police lines. However, now the administration has again provided Y-category security to ensure his safety.
Following Azam Khan's release from jail, his Rampur residence has been thronged by supporters and well-wishers. In response to the ever-growing crowd, the police administration has decided to strengthen security. This step is considered necessary not only to ensure his personal safety but also to maintain law and order in the area.
SP leader Azam Khan has long been an influential figure in Uttar Pradesh politics. Discussions regarding his release and restoration of security are rife in political circles.
