Bhupender Yadav Flags Off ₹5.71 Cr REC Mobile Health Units in Rajasthan

Alwar (The Uttam Hindu): In alignment with its mission to deliver quality healthcare to remote communities, REC Limited has extended CSR support worth ₹5.71 crore to the Indian Red Cross Society, Alwar, for the operation of five Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) over the next three years.

The units were flagged off on October 5 by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, along with Rajasthan’s Minister for Environment, Forest, Climate Change and Science & Technology Sanjay Sharma. The launch event was attended by senior officials from REC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, including General Manager and Department Head M.L. Equipped with GPS-enabled tracking systems, these mobile units will serve some of the most underprivileged and tribal regions of Rajasthan, reaching communities across Alwar, Bharthari, and Behror-Kotputli districts. The initiative aims to provide free medical consultations, treatments, medicines, and preventive healthcare awareness to over 10,000 people every month, thereby strengthening healthcare accessibility in rural areas.
