Bihar assembly election result: NDA crosses 190 seats, Nitish Kumar set to form government again

Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Counting of votes for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections is underway, and the results are now becoming clear. Trends for 243 seats indicate a clean sweep for the NDA. The NDA is leading in 192 seats, while the Grand Alliance is leading in 47. JDU has made the biggest gains in this election. Last time, JDU, which was limited to 43 seats, appears to be emerging as a major party with 84 seats. This means the Nitish Kumar government is likely to return to power.

Prashant Kishor's party Jansuraj does not seem to open its account. Others including independents are leading on 4 seats. This time 67.10% voting took place in 2 phases in Bihar. This is a new record of voting, which is about 10% more than the 2020 assembly elections.
