Bihar Assembly Elections: First phase of voting begins amid high voter turnout

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 a.m. on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda have appealed to the state's citizens to participate enthusiastically in this grand festival of democracy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media platform X, saying that today is the first phase of the celebration of democracy in Bihar. I urge all voters in this phase to cast their votes with full enthusiasm. He extended special congratulations to all the youth of the state who are going to vote for the first time. At the end of the X-post, PM Modi wrote, "First vote, then refreshments!"
BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda also appealed to the people of Bihar to exercise their democratic rights. Nadda posted on X, “I appeal to all voters and our young colleagues who are casting their votes today in the first phase of the assembly elections in Bihar, the sacred land of knowledge, tradition and cultural heritage, to ensure their participation in this festival of democracy by voting in large numbers.”
He posted on X, "This election is about bringing stability to Bihar and rapidly moving it forward on the path of development. Maintaining the rapid pace of development is the important responsibility of every resident of the state." Nadda concluded his post by appealing to the people of Bihar to vote.
It should be noted that special security arrangements have been made for the first phase of voting in Bihar. Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in all 18 districts. Special patrol teams have also been deployed at sensitive and hypersensitive polling stations. The second phase of voting is on November 11th, and the results for all seats will be declared on November 14th.
