New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): The BJP Central Election Committee will hold a crucial meeting at party headquarters on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to finalize the names of candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. Senior party leaders will be present at the meeting to discuss election strategy and prepare candidate lists for all key seats in the state. The official list of BJP candidates is expected to be released following the meeting.

In Bihar, the BJP is contesting the elections under the NDA alliance, which includes Nitish Kumar's party JDU, Chirag Paswan-led LJP (Ram Vilas), Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM).

At present, seat-sharing arrangements within the NDA have not been announced. It is likely that the NDA constituents may announce their seat-sharing arrangements as early as Sunday. A series of meetings were held in Delhi on Saturday to finalize this. Sources say that the NDA talks have agreed that the BJP and JDU will contest approximately 200 to 203 seats together, while the remaining 40 to 42 seats will be divided among three smaller allies.

According to sources, Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) is likely to get 26 seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) eight and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) six seats.

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha on Saturday dismissed reports of discontent among National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies over seat-sharing ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, saying discussions were still ongoing. The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, while the results will be declared on November 14.
