Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Bihar politics is currently in a state of turmoil, and everyone is asking the same question: who will be the next Chief Minister after Nitish Kumar? Amidst reports of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar filing his nomination for the Rajya Sabha and resigning from the CM post soon, a major revelation has now been made. Just before an important meeting called at the CM's residence on Friday evening, Union Minister and JDU stalwart Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lallan Singh, made a statement that has sent shockwaves through everyone, from the opposition to the ruling party.

Speaking to a large crowd of media at Patna airport, Lallan Singh made a clear announcement that the next heir to power in Bihar will be decided by none other than Nitish Kumar himself. A crucial and secret meeting of the JDU legislative party has been convened at the Chief Minister's residence on Anne Marg in Patna on Friday evening, with all the party's MLAs, MLCs, and MPs present. The former JDU president, who arrived to attend this high-voltage meeting, completely dispelled the opposition's claims that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had removed Nitish Kumar from his post and sent him to the Rajya Sabha as part of a deep political conspiracy. Lallan Singh stated bluntly that no leader has ever been able to get Nitish Kumar to make a decision contrary to his wishes.

At the same time, the Union Minister also issued a sharp response to the sensational issue of the blackening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's poster at the JDU office. He warned those behind this incident, saying that only those who do not recognize Nitish Kumar's true nature and political strength would resort to such petty acts. When the media asked him the sharp and direct question of whether the next Chief Minister would be from the BJP or the JDU, Lallan Singh maintained the suspense, stating that this shocking decision rests entirely with Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar, considered the greatest Chanakya of Bihar politics, filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections in Patna on Thursday in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several senior NDA leaders. Just before this, he shared a post on social media, revealing that his earliest political ambition was to become a member of both houses of the country's Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) as well as the Bihar Legislature (Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad). Now, this decades-old dream of his is about to be fulfilled, but his historic move has opened a new chapter full of suspense in Bihar politics.
