BJP Leader Faces FIR Over Leaked Intimate Video on Expressway
Indore (The Uttam Hindu): Police have registered a case against a man from Indore, Madhya Pradesh for allegedly making objectionable gestures towards a woman on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This action has been taken after a video went viral on social media, in which the accused can allegedly be seen doing such acts in a public place. The accused has been identified as Manoharlal Dhakad, who is said to be a BJP leader. However, the BJP has denied this claim and said that the person seen in the video is not a primary member of the party. It is worth noting that the accused's wife is a BJP-supported district panchayat member. (Live Hindustan does not confirm the authenticity of this video.)
Police registered FIR under several sections
Bhanpura police has registered a case against accused Manoharlal Dhakad under sections 296, 285, 3(5) of Indian Justice Code and sections 294, 283, 34 of Indian Penal Code. According to the allegations, Manoharlal Dhakad committed objectionable acts with a woman in public on a very busy route like Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
CCTV footage revealed
that in the viral CCTV video, a car stops on the roadside. At the same time, another vehicle also passes by. A woman and a man get out of the car and allegedly start having physical relations on the road. The car number MP14 CC 4782 is clearly visible in the video. According to the records of the Transport Department, this vehicle is registered in the name of Manoharlal Dhakad.
The CCTV footage shows the date of the incident as May 13, 2025 and the time as 8:26 pm. The FIR also mentions that a video of the accused is going viral on social media in which he is seen “parking a Maruti car on the middle of the main road, getting down on the road and committing obscene acts with a woman on the 8-lane Delhi-Mumbai Expressway”.
BJP distanced itself from the matter; Mahasabha removed him from the post.
Manoharlal Dhakad is also the national minister of Dhakad Mahasabha registered in Ujjain. The Mahasabha has issued a statement informing about Dhakad being removed from his post. On Dhakad being presented as a BJP leader on social media, Mandsaur district president of the ruling party of the state, Rajesh Dixit said, "Dhakad is not a primary member of the BJP." He further said, "Dhakad's wife Sohan Bai is a member of the District Panchayat. It is not known if Dhakad has become a member of the party through online medium."
