BJP leader takes on Indigo: 'Blacklist me if you dare' amidst airport clash and allegations

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): The controversy between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha leader Nazia Elahi Khan and Indigo Airlines has deepened. Nazia Khan has alleged that she was grossly mistreated by Indigo staff while traveling from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Following the incident, the BJP leader launched a scathing attack on the airline and its owner, accusing Indigo of adopting a "double standard" and siding with Pakistan supporters. She has openly challenged the airline, saying that if they have the courage, they should blacklist her.
Nazia Ilahi Khan shared a video of the incident on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Monday morning, which is now rapidly going viral. In the video, she is seen having a heated argument with airline staff at the airport terminal. She claims the abuse began at the check-in counter and continued until boarding. Nazia stated that she was traveling under emergency circumstances, but three employees deliberately harassed her. She alleged that she was being targeted because of her political identity and patriotism.
The owner of Indigo should listen to the Muslims supporters of bharat and pakistan and blacklist me!

Because I'm not going to keep quiet!
Whenever the Ummah employees of Indigo show me their Jihadi mentality!
That's when I'll take off their hijab!
It’s a challenge 🫵… pic.twitter.com/KOcoic5k74
The BJP leader has taken a very aggressive stance in her statements. Addressing the owner of IndiGo, she said that the airline should listen to Muslim supporters from both India and Pakistan, but she will not remain silent. Nazia made controversial remarks, saying that whenever IndiGo employees display their "jihadi mentality," she will "remove their hijabs." She also alleged that the airline recruits and favors a particular community in large numbers. She said that she now understands how IndiGo operates and its deep ties with Muslims.
Sharing a post on social media, Nazia wrote that as soon as she spoke out against three airline employees, she began receiving trolling and threats on social media. She said she was being threatened to delete her statement, but she was not going to be intimidated. She challenged the airline, saying, "IndiGo should blacklist me, because if they don't, I will continue to make and post videos every time I travel and this kind of mentality is revealed." She stressed that if wrongdoing is proven, an apology alone will not suffice; concrete accountability must be ensured. Currently, there has been no official statement from IndiGo on these allegations, nor has the airport administration confirmed any formal complaint.
