Gorakhpur (The Uttam Hindu): Panic gripped Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday when reports of a bomb on the Gorakhpur-LTT Express bound for Mumbai were received. Passengers on board were left breathless. The train was immediately stopped at Bhadohi railway station, and all passengers were made to disembark, and a thorough checking operation is underway throughout the train.

According to reports, the railway control room received a call from a landline number. The caller claimed that a bomb had been placed on train number 15018 (Gorakhpur-LTT Express). Upon receiving the call, the railway administration and security agencies immediately went on alert. With the help of local police, the train was stopped at Bhadohi station.

As soon as the train stopped, passengers were safely evacuated and held on the platform, causing a brief panic. Police and security forces, along with dog squads, launched a search operation.

Security personnel are thoroughly checking every carriage, toilet, and luggage storage area of the train. Additional police forces have been deployed at the station. It's a relief that no suspicious objects have been found during the search, but precautionary measures are still ongoing. Police officers are now working to identify the landline number and caller from which the threat was made, whether it was a hoax or a real one.

This is the second incident involving a bomb threat. Earlier, on November 16th, a bomb threat had also surfaced on the Swatantrata Senani Express, traveling from New Delhi to Bihar. At Aligarh station, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the General Directorate of Police (GRP) removed a suspicious passenger from the train. However, when his bag was searched, instead of a bomb, boxes of guava, cold drinks, and sweets were found. He was released after hours of questioning.
