Massive CBI Action: Raids at 40+ Locations Across 6 States, 6 Arrested

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken major action in six states in a major bribery case. Raids have been conducted at more than 40 places in Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. During this, six people including three doctors have been arrested, who are accused of giving favorable inspection reports to medical colleges in exchange for bribes.
The CBI took this action against the officials and middlemen of Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Medical and Research Institute located in Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It is alleged that these people manipulated the statutory inspection for recognition of medical colleges. The inspecting doctors allegedly took bribe and gave a favorable report. The CBI had received information that the officials of the institute were influencing the inspectors. On this basis, the CBI laid a trap and arrested six people red-handed during the transaction of bribe of Rs 55 lakh.
Raids were also conducted at the premises of the manager of Index College in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The operation began at 3 am and continued till 8 am. The CBI kept this operation completely secret and made the information public by posting it on X.
The arrested accused will be produced in the respective courts. According to the CBI, the accused manipulated the inspection process by bribing the inspectors. The bribe amount was delivered in Bengaluru. Search operations are going on in various states in this case. According to CBI sources, the investigation is still going on and important revelations may be made soon.
