ED Takes Over Changur Baba Case: Probe into Money Laundering and Foreign Funding

Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): ED has filed an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) in the Changur Baba conversion case. Now ED will investigate this matter and the accused related to this case will also be questioned. The foreign connection and money trail of the conversion will also be investigated.

ED has now entered the Jamaluddin alias Changur Baba case. ED has filed an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) in the conversion case. ED and ED Lucknow unit will investigate money laundering in the conversion case tomorrow evening. Very soon ED will also interrogate the accused related to the case.

Foreign connections and money trails of conversion are also being investigated. Baba received about Rs 100 crore as funding so that this money could be used in conversion.

Let us tell you, a bulldozer was run on Changur Baba's residence. This was the place where it is being said that religious conversion was done. Girls were brought and the entire process of conversion took place at this place. Now bulldozer action has been done here. A notice was sent before the bulldozer action. After that, bulldozer action was taken.

ED will now also investigate money laundering in this case. There were 18 rooms in Changur Baba's mansion and imported items were found in it. Along with this, there was a stable for foreign breed dogs and horses, solar power house was also found. This place with 15 feet high wall was kept completely confidential. Not everyone could get entry here.

The Uttar Pradesh Police had claimed that Jamaluddin alias Changur Baba had received funding of more than 100 crores through religious conversion and he also had many luxurious bungalows. Not only in Uttar Pradesh, but also in Pune. Now the ED has registered a case in this matter.

ED has taken all the documents and case files from Uttar Pradesh Police and after registering the case, now ED will question Jamaluddin alias Changur Baba and his close associates about from where did they get the funding and where was it used.
