CM Convoy Fuel Mix-Up: 19 Vehicles Filled with Water Instead of Diesel, Petrol Pump Sealed

Bhopal (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking case of filling water instead of diesel in the vehicles of the convoy of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who was coming to attend the 'MP Rise 2025' Regional Conclave in Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, has come to light. This incident happened at Bharat Petroleum's 'Shakti Fuels' petrol pump located in Dhosi village late on Thursday night. When about 19 Innova vehicles called for the CM convoy from Indore reached this petrol pump to fill diesel, they stopped one by one shortly after filling fuel from there. The drivers immediately complained to the petrol pump and informed the administration.
19 vehicles of CM's convoy were filled with water instead of diesel, administration in a tizzy; Petrol pump sealed: Upon receiving the information, deputy tehsildar Ashish Upadhyay, food and supply officer Anand Gore and other administrative officers reached the spot. During investigation, diesel tanks of all the vehicles were emptied, from which water came out in large quantities. In one vehicle where 20 liters of diesel was filled, about 10 liters of water came out of it. The same situation was seen in other vehicles as well.
After this incident, the administration has sealed the petrol pump with immediate effect. Bharat Petroleum's regional manager Sridhar also reached the spot. In the initial inquiry, the petrol pump employees said that water had leaked in the tank due to rain, however, the administration has started investigating it considering it a serious lapse.
Along with the vehicles, a truck driver also lodged a complaint that he had filled 200 liters of diesel, but the vehicle stopped after travelling a short distance. This gives rise to the suspicion that this negligence was not limited only to the vehicles of the CM convoy.
Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the administration immediately arranged for alternative vehicles from Indore, so that the CM's security and his plan to attend the program are not affected. The incident has raised questions on the fuel quality of petrol pumps. Also, concerns are being raised about the security arrangements related to the Chief Minister's convoy. The administration has started an investigation, and has said that strict action will be taken against the culprits.
