Commercial LPG cylinder price hiked by ₹195.50 on first day of month, new rates announced
Commercial LPG cylinder price increased by ₹195.50 in India, pushing Delhi rates to ₹2,078.50 while domestic cylinder prices remain unchanged.

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Amid rising tensions in West Asia, government oil companies have increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders by ₹195.50. The hike applies to 19 kg commercial cylinders, while there has been no change in domestic LPG cylinder prices.
After the revision, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has risen to ₹2,078.50. Earlier, on March 1, prices in this category were also increased by ₹114.50.
Meanwhile, the price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged. The last revision in domestic cylinder prices was on March 7, when it was increased by ₹60. Currently, it is available in Delhi at ₹913.
Government-owned oil marketing companies—Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum—review LPG and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices on the first day of every month based on international benchmarks and exchange rates.
Experts say that ongoing conflict in West Asia has led to a nearly 50 percent rise in global crude oil prices, directly impacting LPG rates.
However, there has been no change in petrol and diesel prices. Since a ₹2 per litre cut in March last year, fuel prices have remained stable. In Delhi, petrol is priced at ₹94.72 per litre and diesel at ₹87.62 per litre.
The increase in energy costs is expected to put additional financial pressure on businesses and small industries.
