Corona is back: New cases found of Covid-19 in these states...Govt on ALERT!

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The country is once again witnessing a rise in Covid-19 cases. New infection cases have been reported in states like Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala and Karnataka, including the national capital Delhi. In view of this, the governments have increased vigilance and advised citizens to take precautions.


Corona started scaring again! Covid-19 cases increased again in many states including Delhi, government on alert mode: The Health Department of the Delhi Government has directed all hospitals in the capital to remain on alert. Health Minister Pankaj Singh said on Friday that till Thursday, 23 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Delhi. However, he said that there is no need to panic, because in most cases the symptoms are like common flu.


The advisory issued by the government states that all hospitals should ensure full availability of beds, oxygen, medicines and vaccines to deal with COVID-19. Apart from this, ventilators, Bi-PAP, oxygen concentrators and PSA units should be kept in working condition.


The Health Minister said that a meeting has been held with the Medical Superintendents of all private and government hospitals, in which instructions have been given to prepare to deal with Covid-19. It has also been said that there is no need to panic and the government is constantly monitoring whether the cases are from Delhi or have come from outside.


The Delhi government has ordered all Covid positive samples to be sent to Lok Nayak Hospital for genome sequencing. Also, daily reporting of data on the Delhi State Health Data Management Portal has been made mandatory.


The advisory also states that hospitals will also have to monitor cases of influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) and these will be recorded on the Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP). Instructions have also been issued to upload all confirmed cases of COVID-19 and influenza on L-form.


The government has indicated that the COVID-19 situation is being monitored and the public will be given updates from time to time. All citizens have been appealed to wear masks in crowded places, maintain hand hygiene and get tested immediately if any symptoms appear.
