Deadly accident on Delhi–Mumbai Expressway, four devotees returning from Ujjain Mahakal darshan killed

Dausa (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident occurred early Tuesday morning on the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. Near pillar number 193 in the Paparda police station area, a speeding car rammed into a truck from behind. Four devotees traveling in the car died on the spot, while another person was seriously injured.
According to information, the accident took place around 5:30 am. The collision was so severe that the car got stuck to the truck and was dragged for nearly eight kilometers. The vehicle was completely damaged, and the bodies were badly trapped inside.
Police said the deceased were residents of Noida in Uttar Pradesh and were returning after visiting the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. The victims have been identified as Rahul Gupta (35), Paras Agrawal (35), Prince Gupta (23), and Vikram Singh (30). All four died at the scene.
Brijmohan Gupta, who was seated on the rear seat of the car, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to the district hospital for treatment, where his condition is reported to be stable.
The accident was so horrific that police and rescue teams had to work hard to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage. Traffic on the expressway was affected for some time. The police sent the bodies to the district hospital for post-mortem examination.
