Deadly explosion rocks library in Farrukhabad, UP: 2 killed, several injured

Farrukhabad (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying incident unfolded Saturday evening in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. A massive explosion on the ground floor of "The Sun Classes" library, located near the Central Jail intersection, left two people dead and five children studying there injured.

The blast was so powerful that human body parts were scattered up to 50 meters from the explosion site. One person has been declared dead, while the other remains in critical condition and has been referred to a higher center for treatment.

The incident occurred near Kisan Cold Storage on ITI Road in the Qadri Gate police station area. Upon receiving the information, three fire brigade vehicles, an ambulance, and police from several police stations arrived at the scene. The injured children were immediately admitted to Lohia Hospital.

Senior officials, including City Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Bansal and CO City Aishwarya Upadhyay, were present at the scene. Police have sealed off the area and launched an investigation into the cause of the blast.
