Drunk Driving Horror in Delhi: Drunk Driver Crushes Entire Family Sleeping on Footpath

New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): In a horrifying late-night incident in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area, a speeding Audi ran over five people sleeping on a pavement. The driver, 40-year-old Utsav Shekhar from Dwarka, was found drunk at the time of the crash. All five victims — daily wage labourers from Rajasthan — sustained serious injuries and are currently hospitalized.

The incident occurred around 1:45 AM near Shiva Camp. Eyewitnesses say the car was moving at a dangerously high speed when it plowed through the victims. Delhi Police arrived promptly, arrested the driver on the spot, and have registered a case. Investigations are ongoing, including CCTV analysis to rule out involvement of others.
