Delhi Police busts Shahzad Bhatti-linked module, 6 suspects arrested in Delhi and Punjab
The suspects are being interrogated about their network, funding, weapons supply chain and possible targets. More arrests are likely as the investigation continues
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a major crackdown against terrorism and illegal arms smuggling, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested six suspects from Delhi and Punjab. According to investigating agencies, all the accused are allegedly linked to the network of Shahzad Bhatti, a Pakistan-based gangster and alleged ISI operative.
Two separate modules uncovered
The Special Cell's investigation uncovered two separate modules. One module was allegedly involved in terrorist activities, while the other operated an illegal arms smuggling network. According to police, several pistols and petrol bombs were recovered from the accused. Preliminary investigations have also revealed that the accused may be involved in a conspiracy to carry out criminal and terrorist activities in the country.

The Delhi Police Special Cell is interrogating the arrested accused to gather information about their entire network, funding, weapons supply chain, and possible conspiracies. Investigating agencies are also trying to determine who else is involved in this module and their potential targets. Police say the investigation is ongoing and further arrests may be made based on the facts revealed during the interrogation.
