Scared by the ever increasing pressure of security forces and the rapid encounters notorious female Naxalite Sujata, a member of the Central Committee (CC) and carrying a bounty of one crore on her head surrendered in Telangana. Sujata was counted among the top leaders of the Maoist organization and she is the wife of dreaded Naxalite commander Kishanji who was killed in West Bengal a few years ago. This surrender is being considered a big step to break the back of 'red terror' in Bastar.
According to police sources, Sujata, who was active in South Bastar for many years has surrendered in Telangana. Her surrender has given a severe blow to the Maoist organization due to which the morale of the cadre is bound to fall.
