New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The ongoing raging wars and tense situations in the Middle East (Gulf countries) are now affecting the education of Indian students living there. Considering security concerns and the current serious situation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a very important and significant decision. The board has postponed the Class 10th and 12th board examinations in some parts of the Gulf countries with immediate effect. This sudden decision has increased anxiety and worry among the students preparing for the exams there and their parents.

There will be no papers on March 5 and 6 in these countries.

According to information released by CBSE, the Board has seriously reviewed the current deteriorating situation in key Middle East countries such as Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Following this high-level review, it has been decided that the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations scheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026, will no longer be held in these regions. This strict measure has been taken, giving the highest priority to the safety of children in the shadow of war.

New dates of examinations will be announced soon

The board has assured students and parents that only the exams scheduled for March 5th and 6th have been postponed. CBSE clarified that the situation is being continuously monitored and new dates for the exams scheduled for these two days will be announced separately once the situation returns to normal. This decision by the education board signals that the ongoing war in the Middle East has now taken a devastating form, directly affecting the daily lives of Indian families living there and the future of their children.
