Fadnavis posters flood Mumbai, CM emerges as ‘major’ force in Maharashtra politics

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): The BJP and Shiv Sena (Shinde) alliance has performed resoundingly well in 29 municipal corporations across Maharashtra, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Following this victory, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has emerged as a key strategist for the BJP in urban areas. This is why banners and posters have been put up on Mumbai streets, hailing Devendra Fadnavis as the "Maharashtra's stalwart."
On Saturday morning, banners and posters with the words "Dhurandhar" (Dhurandhar) appeared in large numbers in several areas of Mumbai, including Malad and Kandivali. These posters described Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as "Maharashtra's Dhurandhar" (Dhurandhar) and highlighted his political victories and leadership abilities. These posters were put up by the winning candidates at several major intersections and busy areas. Mumbai BJP Yuva Morcha President Tajinder Singh Tiwana also put up posters with "Dhurandhar Devendra" written on them at several locations in the city.
Earlier, BJP leader and state minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule had described Devendra Fadnavis as "Brand Maharashtra." On the day of the results, Bawankule said that the BJP went to the public with development issues. "We presented the government's pledge of 'Developed Mumbai, Developed Maharashtra.' The public voted on that. Fadnavis led this entire election," he said.
Following the victory in the Maharashtra civic elections, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis went to Nagpur and took blessings from his mother. Sharing the pictures, Fadnavis wrote in the 'X' post, "Sought blessings from my mother at my residence in Dharampeth, Nagpur after the spectacular victory of BJP Mahayuti in the municipal elections."
Meanwhile, Fadnavis' family welcomed the Chief Minister and BJP leaders after the resounding victory. Family members, including his wife Amruta Fadnavis and daughter Divija, applied the victory tilak to him. Maharashtra government minister Ashish Shelar and Mumbai BJP president Amit Satam were also present.
