Fake Ambassador Busted: Ghaziabad Man Held for Running Bogus Diplomatic Mission, ₹44 Lakh Cash and Fake Passports Seized

Ghaziabad(The Uttam Hindu): A Ghaziabad resident was apprehended for allegedly running a fake diplomatic mission from a rented house in Kavi Nagar. Harshvardhan Jain claimed to be the consul or ambassador of several micronations, including Westarctica, Saborga, Poulvia and Lodonia. He used diplomatic number plates on his vehicles and morphed photographs with prominent figures, including the Prime Minister and the President.
Key Findings
1. Jain's activities included brokering deals for companies and individuals to work abroad and running a hawala racket through shell companies.
2. Investigations revealed his past connections with Chandraswami and Adnan Khagoshi, an international arms dealer.
3. In 2011, Jain was found with illegal satellite phones, and a case was registered at the Kavi Nagar police station.

Investigation and Proceedings
A case has been registered at the Kavi Nagar police station, and further legal proceedings are underway. The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) Noida unit is investigating the matter.
