Five killed as Bolero collides with truck in tragic highway accident

Uttar Pradesh (The Uttam Hindu): A devastating road accident claimed five lives on Sunday night after a Bolero SUV collided head-on with a speeding truck on the national highway. The impact of the collision was so severe that the Bolero was completely mangled, leaving no chance for the passengers to survive.

According to local police, the incident occurred near a busy stretch of the highway when the Bolero, carrying members of two families, was returning from a family function. Eyewitnesses said the truck was coming from the opposite direction at high speed and lost control before crashing into the SUV.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene soon after the accident and pulled out the victims trapped inside the vehicle. Five people, including women and children, were declared dead on the spot, while two others were critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

The tragic mishap has cast a shadow of grief over the victims’ villages, where multiple families have lost their loved ones in one stroke. Police have registered a case and are searching for the truck driver, who fled the scene immediately after the collision.
