Rudraprayag (The Uttam Hindu): A major accident took place on Sunday morning near Kedarnath Dham. A helicopter going from Guptkashi to Kedarnath crashed. Seven people died in this accident. According to the information, the helicopter took off from Mastura Guptkashi at around 5 am. A total of 7 people were on board, including a pilot and 6 passengers. The helicopter crash was reported some time after the flight. The helicopter crashed and fell in the forest of Gaurikund. Seven people have died in this tragic accident.

It has been revealed that the accident happened due to bad weather. At present, relief and rescue work has been started. Rescue team is also being sent from Gaurikund. The helicopter is said to be of Aryan Aviation Company.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has confirmed the helicopter crash. He wrote in a post on "X" on Sunday morning, "Very sad news has been received about the helicopter crash in Rudraprayag district. SDRF, local administration and other rescue teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations. I pray to Baba Kedar for the safety of all the passengers."

Let us tell you that last month, helicopters were victims of accidents at two different places in Uttarakhand. On May 17, an emergency landing was made of Sanjeevani heli ambulance coming from Rishikesh AIIMS towards Kedarnath helipad. Two doctors were also on board the helicopter. However, there was no damage, the helicopter passengers remained absolutely safe. During the emergency landing, the rear part of the helicopter was damaged.

Earlier, on May 8, a helicopter carrying pilgrims crashed in Uttarkashi district, carrying about half a dozen people. There were 5-6 passengers in the helicopter, two of whom were injured.
