Horrific road accident in Barmer: Trailer collides with Scorpio, 4 youths burnt alive

Barmer (The Uttam Hindu): News of a tragic road accident emerged from Rajasthan's Barmer district on Friday morning. A trailer and a Scorpio collided head-on near Balotra. The accident was so horrific that the Scorpio caught fire, and four young men inside were burned to death on the spot. One youth is seriously injured and has been referred to Jodhpur after first aid.

According to reports, five friends from Dabar village in Gudamalani had come to Sindhari in a Scorpio. They were returning after dinner at a hotel. Meanwhile, their Scorpio collided with an oncoming trailer on the Balotra-Sindhari Mega Highway. The impact was so severe that the vehicle caught fire and the doors jammed, trapping the four young men inside.

It was impossible to rescue the young men trapped in the flames, and all four died on the spot. The trailer driver, however, displayed courage and successfully rescued the Scorpio driver. The injured driver was referred to Jodhpur after first aid at the Sindhari Community Health Center.

Administrative staff arrived at the scene

upon receiving information about the incident. District Collector Sushil Kumar Yadav, Superintendent of Police Ramesh, Additional District Collector Bhuvaneshwar Singh Chauhan, Deputy Nirj Sharma, Sub-Divisional Officer Samandar Singh Bhati, Chief District Medical Officer Wakaram Chaudhary, and a team from the Transport Department arrived at the scene. The charred bodies are in such poor condition that identification is difficult. Police stated that identification of the deceased will only be possible after DNA testing.
