‘India capable of probing terror attack, doesn’t need our help,’ says US

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The world's attention is focused on India following the explosion near the Red Fort Metro Station. The Indian government has declared the blast a terrorist attack. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also called it a clear terrorist incident and praised India's professionalism in the investigation.
"Indian investigative agencies are to be commended. They are conducting this investigation very thoughtfully, carefully, and professionally. This was clearly a terrorist attack. A car loaded with explosives exploded, killing several people," Rubio said.
He further stated that India is investigating the matter with utmost seriousness and efficiency. “When the investigation is complete, they will make all the facts public. We have offered assistance, but India is fully capable of conducting such an investigation and does not need our help,” Rubio said.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with
Marco Rubio on the sidelines of the G-7 Foreign Ministers' meeting in Niagara, Canada. Rubio expressed condolences to the victims of the Delhi bombings. The two leaders also discussed bilateral relations and global developments.
Preliminary investigations have indicated a white -collar
terrorist network behind the blast. Sources suggest the attack may be linked to Pakistan-based terrorist organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGH).
