Indian embassy launches 24/7 support hub for women in distress in Canada

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : The Indian Embassy in Toronto has launched a special help center to assist Indian women in distress in Canada. The move comes days after the death of a 30-year-old Indian woman in Canada under mysterious circumstances, with her partner being named the main suspect.
According to the embassy, the "One Stop Center for Women" aims to provide coordinated and women-focused assistance to women in need. The center will provide immediate assistance to women holding Indian passports only in cases of domestic violence, abuse, family disputes, abandonment, exploitation, and legal issues.
