Indian Oil executive director dies after falling from 17th-floor balcony

Noida (The Uttam Hindu): A posh high-rise society in Noida's Sector 104 was rocked Saturday morning when Ajay Garg (55), executive director of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), tragically fell from the 17th floor to his death. The incident caused widespread panic in the society. Police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and have launched an investigation.
Initial police investigations revealed that the incident occurred around 10:20 a.m. After speaking with his wife, Mayuri Garg, Ajay Garg went to the balcony to make a call. Reportedly, there was a mobile network problem inside the flat, so he went to the railing to make a call. Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell from the 17th floor. Society members and guards found him lying on the ground, bleeding, and rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Ajay Garg, 55, originally from Kanpur, worked as an executive director at Indian Oil Corporation's Delhi office. He lived with his wife, Mayuri, in the ATS One Hamlet Society in Sector 104, Noida. They have a son who works in Mumbai and was not at home at the time of the incident.
The police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Police officials say that a detailed investigation will be able to confirm whether this was an accident or a suicide. At present, the police have not recovered any suicide note from the scene. To determine the truth, the police are examining footage from CCTV cameras installed in the society. In addition, family members and members of the society are also being questioned.
The family is deeply shocked by this sudden incident. Ajay Garg's son has been informed of the incident and has left Mumbai for Noida. Police say the exact cause of death will only be determined after the post-mortem report and investigation are complete.
