India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh warns Pakistan of serious consequences

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) - Defence Minister Rajnath Singh issued a clear warning to Pakistan, saying that if Pakistan dares to do anything in the Sir Creek area, it will receive such a befitting reply that both history and geography will change. He said that in the 1965 war, the Indian Army had demonstrated its capability to reach Lahore. Today, in 2025, Pakistan should remember that one route to Karachi passes through the creek. The Defence Minister said that during Operation Sindoor, Pakistan made an unsuccessful attempt to penetrate India's defence system from Leh to this area of Sir Creek, while the Indian forces, in their retaliatory action, completely exposed the Pakistani air defence system.
On Thursday, on the occasion of Vijayadashami, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was present among army personnel at the Bhuj Air Base. He performed the arms worship there. During the ceremony, the Defense Minister stated that Operation Sindoor has sent a message to the world that Indian forces can inflict significant damage on Pakistan whenever, wherever, and however they wish.
The Defense Minister stated that despite our capabilities, we exercised restraint because our military action was directed against terrorism. The objective of Operation Sindoor was not to escalate it into a war. He said, "I am pleased that Indian forces have successfully achieved all the military objectives of Operation Sindoor. However, our fight against terrorism continues."
The Defense Minister stated that despite 78 years of independence, a border dispute is still being raised in the Sir Creek area. India has attempted to resolve this issue through dialogue several times, but Pakistan's intentions are flawed and unclear. The recent expansion of its military infrastructure in areas adjacent to Sir Creek reveals its intentions. Rajnath Singh stated that the Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) are vigilantly protecting India's borders. Any further aggression by Pakistan in the Sir Creek area will be met with a resounding response that will change both history and geography. Pakistan should remember that one route to Karachi passes through the creek.
Remembering Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti, he said, "When I speak of morale, our attention naturally turns to Mahatma Gandhi. He was a shining example of morale. He had no weapon to fight the enemy except the power of his mind, yet he brought the most powerful empire of the time to its knees. Furthermore, our soldiers have both weapons and morale; no challenge can stand before us."
The Defence Minister said, “On this occasion of Shastra Puja, I pray to Goddess Durga that she may always inspire our weapons to protect Dharma. May she grant our soldiers immense strength and courage so that they continue to work to destroy the forces of unrighteousness and demons, and keep this nation invincible and impenetrable. The Army, Air Force, and Navy are the three pillars of our strength. Only when these three services work together can we effectively face every challenge. Our government is continuously emphasizing the jointness of our forces. On this occasion, I would also like to extend special congratulations to our brave soldiers and officers on the success of Operation Sindoor.”
The Defense Minister said that to establish and protect Dharma, mere resolve is not enough. Along with resolve, power is also necessary. And that power is manifested through weapons. Therefore, the worship of weapons is given equal importance in our country. Respecting weapons also means respecting our soldiers who wield them.
