Indore (The Uttam Hindu): There was a commotion on Tuesday morning in the Indigo Airlines flight going from Indore to Raipur, when the plane had to make an emergency landing about half an hour after takeoff. After getting indications of technical fault in the flight, the pilot landed the plane safely back at Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar International Airport in Indore. All the passengers on board the plane are safe.

According to the information, IndiGo flight number 6E 7295 took off for Raipur at its scheduled time of 6:35 am. Passengers said that about 30 minutes after takeoff, they felt a strong jolt in the plane. A few minutes later, the pilot announced that the plane was being taken back to Indore due to some technical reasons. The plane successfully landed at the airport at 7:15 am.

The terminal manager of Indore airport said that the pilot had received a 'false alarm' during the flight. Although it was a false technical signal, any such signal is taken seriously under the security protocol. Due to this, the pilot decided to turn the plane back without taking any risk, which is a commendable step.

After landing, all the passengers were safely deboarded. Later, IndiGo cancelled the flight citing technical checks and security reasons. The airlines have given the affected passengers the option of getting a full refund or rescheduling their booking on the next available flight.
