IndiGo Scare Mid-Air: Flight to Leh Makes Emergency Landing in Delhi

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After the accident in Ahmedabad, emergency landings of planes are being witnessed continuously in the country. On Thursday morning, IndiGo flight 6E 2006 from Delhi to Leh had to make an emergency landing due to technical reasons. All the passengers on the flight are safe.
According to the information, there were about 180 people on board the Indigo flight including crew members. The flight took off from Delhi to Leh on Thursday morning. A technical fault was detected shortly before reaching Leh. The plane returned shortly after reaching Leh and landed safely in Delhi. At present, the information about that technical fault has not been officially revealed.
On Wednesday, an IndiGo flight had to be cancelled. Flight 6E 6101 was scheduled to depart from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata. However, the flight was cancelled a few minutes before take-off. The reason for this was also said to be a technical fault in the aircraft.
Earlier on June 2, an Indigo plane collided with a vulture in Ranchi, due to which an emergency landing had to be made. The flight from Patna to Kolkata via Ranchi was at an altitude of about 3-4 thousand feet. At that very moment a vulture collided with it. After the collision, the plane remained in the air for about 40 minutes. There were 175 passengers including crew members on board this Indigo flight.
The passengers were in panic after the bird collision. The crew members of the plane reassured them. The pilot showed alertness and landed the plane safely at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport. However, later the team of engineers assessed the extent of damage to the plane due to the collision. This is not the first incident of a plane's flight being disrupted due to birds at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport. On May 8 also, the Delhi-Ranchi Air India Express (IX 116) had malfunctioned due to a pigeon getting stuck in its wing. The technical fault was detected after landing.
