Infiltration attempt in Rajouri, security forces repulse terrorists with firing; high alert on LoC

Rajouri (The Uttam Hindu): Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir after detecting suspicious movement near the Line of Control. According to the Army’s White Knight Corps, the incident occurred in the early hours of February 19 near the Gaza River close to the Nathua Tibba area.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs and continuous surveillance, security forces responded with swift and calibrated firing, successfully forcing the infiltrators to retreat and neutralising the attempt. The Army stated that troops were repositioned and reoriented using integrated ground and aerial surveillance to firmly secure the area.

Following the incident, a high-level alert has been issued across the entire sector along the Line of Control, and monitoring has been further intensified to prevent any future infiltration attempts.
