Jammu and Kashmir (The Uttam Hindu) – Security forces killed two terrorists in the Keran sector of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. The Indian Army's Chinar Corps stated on the social media platform X that terrorists opened indiscriminate fire during a search operation. The two terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire by security forces. The Army has named it "Operation Pimple." The operation is still ongoing.

According to reports, the Indian Army launched a search operation against terrorists on Friday. The Army had received intelligence about infiltration from across the Line of Control (LoC).

Infiltration has been involved in several encounters in the past. The Army's intelligence has led to a major success. Previously, on November 5th, an encounter took place in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir. A soldier was injured in the firing by terrorists. According to officials, the police, with the help of the Army, launched a joint operation against the terrorists, achieving significant success.

A Pakistani intruder was arrested near the international border in the RS Pura sector of Jammu. The intruder, identified as Siraj Khan, a resident of Sargodha in Pakistan's Punjab province, was spotted by BSF personnel deployed at the Octroi checkpoint. After a few rounds of firing, he was arrested near the border fencing. Some Pakistani currency was also recovered from him.
