Jammu (The Uttam Hindu): A remote village was cut off due to a cloudburst amid heavy overnight rain in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. 4 people have died due to the cloudburst in Kathua. At the same time, 6 people are reported to be injured. Officials said that the road leading to the village was completely destroyed due to a cloudburst in Jod Valley of Rajbagh area of the district between Saturday and Sunday night.


He said that a joint team of police and SDRF has reached the village and further information is awaited. Officials said that landslides also occurred in Bagar and Changda villages of Kathua police station area and Dilwan-Hutli of Lakhanpur police station area, but no major damage has been reported.
