Lalu Family Gets Relief from Delhi Court; Order on Framing Charges in Land-for-Job Case Deferred

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The family of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has received relief in the Land-for-Job case. The Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has postponed its order on framing charges against Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav, and other accused persons.
The court has asked the CBI to submit a fresh status report confirming the current position of every accused in the case, as some of them have passed away during the proceedings. According to the court, the CBI had named a total of 103 individuals as accused, but four of them died during the trial period.
Due to this, the court has directed the investigating agency to re-verify the status of all accused and file a detailed report. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for December 8.
