Major security forces operation in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, 5 naxalites killed; 214 hideouts destroyed

Bijapur (The Uttam Hindu): A major encounter took place between security forces and naxalites in Bijapur district. According to reports, five naxalites were killed during the operation. This action was carried out as part of the ongoing anti-naxal अभियान in the region.
As per official information, security forces received intelligence inputs about the presence of naxalites in a forest area. Following this, a search operation was launched. During the operation, naxalites allegedly opened fire first, after which security personnel retaliated. In the exchange of fire, five naxalites were neutralised.
During the operation, security forces claimed to have destroyed 214 naxalite hideouts and bunkers. A large quantity of explosive material was also recovered. Officials said that this action is expected to significantly disrupt naxalite activities in the area.
Anti-naxal operations have been intensified in Bijapur district over the past few days. Security forces stated that the objective of these operations is to strengthen security arrangements and weaken the naxalite network in Chhattisgarh.
