Mamta Kulkarni's big decision, resigns from the post of Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) – Mamta Kulkarni has resigned from the post of Mahamandaleshwar of the Kinnar Akhara. Just yesterday, Mamta Kulkarni stated that wearing saffron robes does not signify being an agent of the BJP or anyone else, and that she would soon remove the saffron robes.
The Akhara's Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, Dr. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, issued a video message stating that the decision was made after deliberation among officials. Mamta Kulkarni no longer has any official connection to the Akhara; she is neither an official nor a member. Dr. Tripathi stated that there are many historical aspects of the Jyotish Peeth and related controversies, on which the Akhara does not comment. On the question of Mamta's expulsion from the Akhara, Mamta Kulkarni stated that she has resigned from the post of Mahamandaleshwar.
In reality, the position of Mahamandaleshwar is achieved through years of spiritual practice and austerity. To become a true Mahant or Mahamandaleshwar requires years of meditation, austerity, and spiritual discipline. We are not yet worthy of this position. We are still too rigid. I have yet to break free from all this
