New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country on Sunday through the 122nd episode of the radio program 'Mann Ki Baat'. Like every time, PM Modi narrated amazing and inspiring stories. PM Modi shared the story of Katejhari village in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra with the countrymen. This is a village in India where a government bus reached after 77 years of independence. He also told what was the reason for the bus reaching after so many years?

PM Modi said, "I want to tell you about a village where a bus reached for the first time. When the bus reached the village for the first time, people welcomed it by playing drums. People were very happy to see the bus. There was a paved road in the village, people needed it, but a bus had never been able to run here before. Because this village was affected by Maoist violence."

He further said, “This place is in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, and the name of this village is Katejhari. This change in Katejhari is being felt in the entire surrounding area. Now the situation here is becoming normal rapidly. Due to the collective fight against Maoism, basic facilities have started reaching such areas. The people of the village say that with the arrival of the bus, their lives will become much easier.”

Let us tell you that the central government has taken several steps to control Maoism in this area. Bus service started in this village on May 20, which caused a wave of happiness among the villagers. The central government has increased the deployment of security forces in Maoist-affected areas, especially in states like Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar, and Maharashtra. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Chhattisgarh Police, and other special forces have conducted joint operations.
