‘I am with you’: Modi urges all Manipur organizations to walk the path of peace

Churachandpur (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to all the organizations of Manipur to move forward on the path of peace and fulfill their dreams. Prime Minister Modi assured these organizations that he stands with them. The Prime Minister said, “We are satisfied that recently negotiations have been held for agreements with different organizations in the Hills and Valley. This is a part of the efforts of the Government of India in which work is being done to establish peace by giving importance to dialogue, respect and mutual understanding. I would appeal to all the organizations to move forward on the path of peace and fulfill their dreams. I am with you, the Government of India is with the people of Manipur.”
On Saturday, PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 7,300 crore in Manipur. Addressing the program, PM Modi said that this land of Manipur is a land of courage and bravery. These hills are a precious gift of nature and at the same time these hills are also a symbol of the continuous hard work of all of you. Saluting the spirit of the people of Manipur, PM Modi said, "You came here in such large numbers even in such heavy rain, I express my gratitude to you for this love."
In his address, the Prime Minister said that there is a gem in the name of Manipur, this is the gem that is going to increase the shine of the entire North-East in the coming times. It has been the constant effort of the Government of India to take Manipur forward rapidly on the path of development. In this connection, I have come here among all of you.
He said, "The central government is making every possible effort to bring life back on track in Manipur. The government is working with the aim of making Manipur a symbol of peace, prosperity and progress."
The Prime Minister said that you all know how difficult it was to reach villages here earlier. Now road connectivity has been provided to hundreds of villages. The hill people and tribal villages have benefited a lot from this. Rail connectivity is expanding in Manipur only during the BJP government. The Jiribam-Imphal railway line will soon connect the capital Imphal to the national rail network.
