Mohan Bhagwat Clarifies: RSS Doesn’t Decide Govt Policies, Urges Families to Have 3 Children

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- Thursday was the last day of the three-day lecture series program '100 years of Sangh journey, new horizon' at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. During this, RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat explained why a new education policy is necessary?
Mohan Bhagwat said, “The new education policy was introduced because in the past we were ruled by foreign invaders. We were under their rule and their aim in their rule was to establish dominance over this country, not to develop it. They created systems to ensure control over the nation, but now that we are independent, our aim is not just to rule but to serve and care for our people.” He said, “There is no opposition to technology and modernity. As human knowledge increases, new technologies emerge and no one can stop them. They come for the benefit of humans and it depends on humans how they use them. Whenever a technology emerges, it should be used for the benefit of humanity. If there are any harmful consequences, we should avoid and prevent them.”
There is no dispute between BJP and RSS.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said - There is no dispute between BJP and RSS. We have had good relations with not only the BJP government but all governments. On the question of decision making in the government, Bhagwat said that it is wrong to say that the RSS decides everything in the government. We can give advice, but they take the decision. If we had decided, it would not have taken so much time.
It is necessary to have three children
. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Thursday that all families should have three children. He said that in order to maintain the family system in the future and also to ensure the security of the country, it is necessary that all families should have three children.
“We are not English and we don't need to become English
Mohan Bhagwat said, “We are not English and we don't need to become English, but English is a language and what is wrong in learning the language? When I was in class eight, my father asked me to read 'Oliver Twist' and 'The Prisoner of Zenda'. I have read many English novels, yet it did not affect my love for Hinduism at all. It is not right to read English novels and leave out Indian story writers like Premchand.” He said that a labour organisation, a small industry organisation, the government and the party, all four have to be unanimous, which is very rare. There can be conflict, but there should not be quarrel. The goal is the same, the well-being of our country, the well-being of our people. If there is this understanding, there is always coordination, and our volunteers have this understanding. Everywhere we should teach our traditions, our values and our value-based conduct, it is not necessarily religious education. It is social. Our religions may be different, but as members of society we are one. Understand that these are general principles, respecting parents, showing humility in front of elders, not being controlled by ego, etc. These are special and distinctive aspects of our culture.
