New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Monsoon has become fully active across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in many districts of Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Delhi NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder at many places. At the same time, a rain alert has also been issued in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan today on Monday.

The weather department has issued an alert of heavy rain in different states of the country till July 17. The weather has also changed in Uttar Pradesh. The weather department has predicted rain in the state till July 17. Due to the rise in the water level of Ganga and Yamuna in Prayagraj, flood water has spread in the low lying areas. The water of Ganga has reached the Lat Hanuman temple. The paths of Sangam have been submerged. In the last 24 hours in entire Uttar Pradesh, 14 people have died due to rain, lightning and flood.

The Meteorological Department has warned of torrential rain in Bihar for the next 48 hours. IMD has issued an alert regarding heavy rain and thunderstorm in many districts. According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon has become active again in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding heavy rain in 20 districts of Bihar.
