Mumbai female Teacher's Shocking Abuse: Held for Repeatedly Rape of Male Student in 5-Star Hotels

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu) : After repeatedly raping a male student over the course of a year, a Mumbai teacher from one of the top five schools in India was placed under arrest. She is accused of putting the survivor on antidepressants and of committing the acts at a number of places, including five-star hotels.
The teacher has been taken into custody by the Dadar police after being arrested for aggravated sexual assault under the applicable provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act and the Pocso. When the teacher sent her servant to his home to request a meeting following his Higher Secondary exams, the student eventually told his parents. The FIR also names her friend in addition to the teacher. In 2024, her friend persuaded the minor to continue having sex.
According to the minor's statement to police, the co-accused was not from the school where the survivor was a student. However, she met him and convinced him to have relations with his teacher. Police officials have launched a man-hunt to nab the co-accused.
This incident comes at a time when a first-year college student was gang-raped in the guard's room of a law college in Kolkata, bringing renewed focus on student safety in educational campuses.Following the incident, several cases of molestation and sexual harassment were reported against the main accused and former Trinamool student leader, Monojit Mishra, on the college campus and during college trips. Speaking to the student alleged that Mishra assaulted and threatened her during a college trip. She further claimed that around 15 female students fell victim to his "perversion".
