Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Police and administration were alerted after receiving a bomb threat on Thursday afternoon in Mumbai. An unknown person called on helpline number 112 and talked about a bomb explosion in the sea, after which Mumbai Police immediately swung into action. As soon as the threat was received, several police teams got busy in identifying and tracing the location of the unknown caller. For this, the help of technical experts is being taken.

Also, coastal security agencies and local police have been put on high alert. Additional security forces have been deployed in coastal areas to keep an eye on suspicious activity. The police have taken this threat seriously and have started a search operation to catch the caller. Officials say that they are trying their best to control the situation soon. People have been appealed to avoid rumors and immediately inform the police about any suspicious thing or person. Helpline number 112 has been kept active so that people can register their complaints. A senior Mumbai Police official said that such threats are not taken lightly. Call recordings and network data are being analyzed during the investigation. Even if this threat is found to be false, strict action will be taken against the caller. Surveillance has been increased in coastal areas. If needed, the help of the Navy can also be taken.

Such threats have increased in the recent past, which has increased the pressure on the police. In such a situation, the police has appealed to the people to maintain peace. Although the caller has not been identified yet, the police have claimed that the accused will be caught soon.
