NALSA Launches 'Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana 2025' To Provide Legal Aid for Soldiers

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana 2025 has been launched as a historic initiative for Indian soldiers and their families. The aim of this scheme is to free the soldiers from legal burden so that they can focus on the security of the country.
NALSA will fight the family legal cases of soldiers deployed on the border in the courts. This assistance will also be available to paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, ITBP. The basic message of this initiative is: "You serve the country on the borders, we will take care of your family." This landmark scheme was inaugurated by Justice Surya Kant, Executive Chairman of National Legal Services Authority and next Chief Justice of India. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah were also present on the occasion. The inspiration for this scheme came from seeing the valor and sacrifice of soldiers during Operation Sindoor.
The National Legal Services Authority will now ensure legal representation to soldiers and their families in any corner of the country. If a soldier is posted in Ladakh or Siachen and a land dispute case is going on in his home state, he will no longer need to take leave and appear in court. NALSA's network will handle the case and every State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) will be given this responsibility.
Who will get the benefit?

Paramilitary forces personnel: BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF etc.
Families of martyrs, retired soldiers can also take help under this scheme if needed.
