NDA Finalizes Seat Sharing in Bihar; Party-Wise Allocation Revealed
X

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- Bihar Assembly elections are currently dominating the national politics. Of course the election date has not been announced but politics is at its peak. BJP, JDU, Congress, RJD, Jansuraj all are playing their own tricks. Meanwhile, some media reports are claiming that seat sharing has been done in NDA. According to the claim of sources, Janata Dal United (JDU) will contest on 102 seats and BJP will contest on 101 seats. Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) i.e. LJP (R) has got 20 seats, Jitan Ram Manjhi's Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) and Upendra Kushwaha's Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) have got 10 seats each.

Talking about the political history of Bihar, during the Lok Sabha elections 2024, when Chirag Paswan returned to the National Democratic Alliance and there was a dispute over seats, then the matter was resolved and an assurance of better performance in the Bihar Assembly elections was given. This assurance was not given only to Chirag. Paras could not understand the clear fact that BJP is bringing Chirag Paswan back with them and he himself left the post of Union Minister.

A senior NDA leader said, "JD(U)'s performance was poor last time because of LJP. The party still has around 10% of Bihar's votes, especially in EBC (Extremely Backward Classes). The election is being fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. The focus is on making him the chief minister again. There is no question of JD(U) contesting fewer seats than BJP, though some changes may be made to accommodate allies."
