NDMC holds Suvidha Camp for residents, over 70 public complaints addressed in single-window drive

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): New Delhi Municipal Council organised a Suvidha Camp at the NDCC Convention Centre on Saturday, offering residents and service users a single-window platform for information, facilitation and quick resolution of civic grievances.
The camp received 70 formal complaints from citizens related to departments such as personnel, civil engineering, horticulture, public health, enforcement, commercial, tax and estate. In addition to these grievances, a large number of residents visited the camp to seek guidance and information about various NDMC services and civic facilities.
A key highlight of the initiative was the direct interaction between citizens and departmental officials, which helped bring clarity and faster decision-making. Many complaints were examined and resolved on the spot, while matters requiring policy-level action were explained to the complainants along with expected timelines for resolution.
More than 100 officers and officials from over 30 NDMC departments were deployed at the camp, with help desks supervised by the respective heads of departments to ensure accountability and timely response.
Alongside such outreach programmes, NDMC has also strengthened its digital grievance system through the Jan Suvidha Portal on its official website. The platform allows residents to file complaints online, track their status and share feedback, making the grievance redressal process more transparent and accessible. Complaints received through social media platforms are also monitored regularly to ensure prompt action.
