Lucknow (The Uttam Hindu): Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has announced that she will contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections alone. She has described ongoing discussions about an alliance with any party as completely misleading and baseless.

Mayawati appealed to party workers to ignore rumors about the alliance and to get busy with election preparations with the "sleek gait of an elephant." She stated clearly that the BSP is confident in its own strength and will contest the elections without any support.

He said that reports of alliances with other parties are being deliberately spread to distract party workers. The party's goal is to form a full-majority government in the state, as it did in 2007.

Mayawati, while energizing the party workers, said that there was no need to be influenced by the opposition's propaganda. She called for reaching out to the people at the grassroots level and effectively communicating the party's policies and programs, so that the goal of an absolute majority could be achieved.

He also responded to the discussions surrounding the Type-8 government bungalow allotted to him in Delhi. He stated that the allotment was made in accordance with security and protocol. There is nothing unusual about it, and it is wrong to spread any misleading information about it.
