New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- The Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Bill, 2025 has now become a law after the President's approval. With the implementation of this law, there has been a big change in India's online gaming scenario. On Friday, President Draupadi Murmu gave her approval to this bill passed by the Parliament.


India's leading real money gaming (RMG) companies like Dream Sports, Gameskraft, Mobile Premier League (MPL) and Zupee have banned real money games on their platforms after the government passed the 'Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill 2025'. The bill has banned all online money games where players invest money in the hope of financial gain.


Let us tell you that earlier this bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. On Wednesday, the Lok Sabha gave its green signal to this bill. In the new law, e-sports and social games have been given relief, but online money games have been completely banned.
