‘Operation Mahadev’: Security Forces Neutralize 3 Terrorists After Pahalgam Attack

Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): A fierce encounter has once again erupted between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir today. According to the latest reports, security forces have killed three terrorists under 'Operation Mahadev' being carried out in the dense forests of Dachigam near Srinagar. The killed terrorists are suspected to be involved in the gruesome massacre in Pahalgam. However, there has been no official confirmation on this yet.
According to sources, the security forces had received intelligence about some terrorists hiding in the forest area of Dachigam. Acting on this information, the soldiers cordoned off the area and started an intensive search operation. Finding themselves surrounded, the terrorists started firing at the security forces, after which the encounter started.
It is being told that in the fierce firing from both sides, the security forces have succeeded in killing three terrorists. These terrorists are being linked to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 innocent people lost their lives. This massacre shook the whole country and since then the security forces were actively searching for the terrorists involved in this attack.
At present, the search operation is going on in the area and the security forces are fully alert. Senior army and police officers are keeping an eye on the spot. Detailed information about the identity of the killed terrorists and their organization is awaited.
